As we continue to work on OrganizEat these days from our quarantined balcony ?, the world feels so different compared to a few weeks ago. At times like this, the things that we truly care about are coming into focus ❤️.
Four years have passed since OrganizEat was first launched. Over this time we kept adding new feedback-driven features. Some were easier to implement and arrived promptly. Others required substantial development effort. The one we uncover today is just like that. It has been your top request all along. And it took us many months of hard work.
? Lo and behold, OrganizEat is no longer “mobile-only”. Today we are excited to announce the availability of OrganizEat for Web. Your recipes are now accessible on a computer, from the convenience of your desktop browser. Please meet it:
Here is what it does for you:
? Log in using your regular OrganizEat account’s email and password, and see all your recipes, as a scrollable wall of cards or organized into folders. Click a card to view the whole recipe. Click the edit button and reorder steps, add an ingredient or retype the title. Import and save new recipes from the supported websites.
? Or click “Type New Recipe”. This is what sets apart the Web version and the mobile app. The mobile is crafted around smartphone or tablet strength, which is taking photos. Typing is tedious on a mobile device. The desktop is the other way around. Typing is a breeze when you have a full-size keyboard and a large screen. ingredient and preparation step. Just “Copy” the entire Ingredients or Directions section, and “Paste” it into OrganizEat Web. It will split the text automatically into separate lines. Just like that, quick and easy!
With this first OrganizEat Web version, we are just getting started. The Web version still misses some features. The folders editing, accounts sharing, meal planner, and grocery list are earmarked for future releases.
? OrganizEat Web was planned to be launched as a paid service. However, in these unusual times, when many of us are uncertain about our next paycheck and the economy in general: we don’t want your financial concerns to limit you from using our tools to help you cooking easier, eating healthier, and saving time & money. So starting today, OrganizEat for Web will be available to all our currently existing users for FREE – until better times come. Like you, we will continue to monitor updates from global health organizations and government bodies closely, in the hope that the situation will improve in a month or two ?.
Have I already said we are really excited about the Web version? Well, we really are ?. And we can’t wait to hear from you. This is the thing you asked for, so we expect you’ll have a lot to say about it. Have we catered to your needs? Did we do it reasonably well? What sucks most and needs fixing? If something does not work, do us a favor and email support. We will be grateful for this help! Don’t spare us your critique. It is the way of us jointly making OrganizEat great. We do the coding, you straighten us up as needed. So let’s bring our best game to this too! If you have any questions or concerns please email to our usual support address: support@organizeat.com.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support, and stay safe! ?
